Rena Mach 6 vs iJetColor NXT Which Digital Printer is Best
Are you interested in learning the differences between the Rena Mach 6 vs iJetColor NXT?

At Graphic Technology Group, we've noticed this is a popular comparison made by digital envelope printers.

In this article, we'll take a look at the similarities and differences between the Rena Mach 6 vs iJetColor NXT.

1) Print Speeds

Both of the Rena Mach 6 and iJetColor NXT utilize Memjet technology to create quality prints at high speeds.

When it comes to print speed, these machines have a lot in common:

Rena Mach 6 Print Speeds:

  • Normal Quality (1600 x 800 dpi) - 12 Inches per Second
  • Best Quality (1600 x 1600 dpi) - 6 Inches per Second

iJetColor NXT Print Speeds:

  • Normal Quality (1600 x 800 dpi) - 12 Inches per Second
  • Best Quality (1600 x 1600 dpi) - 6 Inches per Second

As you can see the normal and best quality speeds for both digital printers are the same.

For a real world example, this means you'll be able to produce around 6,000 to 8,000 #10 envelopes per hour.

2) Media Sizes

Another important factor to consider is the print area and media sizes between these digital printers.

Rena Mach 6 Media Sizes:

  • Minimum: 3" W x 4" L
  • Maximum: 10.5" W x 17" L
  • Print Area: Up to 8.77" x 40" with full bleed capability under 8.6"

iJetColor NXT Media Sizes:

  • Minimum: 3" W x 4 1/8" L
  • Maximum: 10.5" W x 17" L
  • Print Area: Up to 8.7" x 17" with 4 edge bleed printing

The print media sizes between the Rena Mach 6 and iJetColor NXT are almost identical.

Plus, both printers are able to print on items beside envelopes like boxes and other thick media.

3) Service Availability

One of the deciding factors between the Rena Mach 6 and iJetColor NXT is your access to timely service.

When you compare these digital printers on speed and quality, they are virtually the same.

However, if something breaks or you need routine maintenance - having a local service technician is important.

For example: In the Southeastern USA, our local service technicians at GTG can fix your Rena Mach 6 on-site.

On the other hand, the iJetColor NXT does not have service technicians in our area.

This means you may need to pack up your NXT and ship it to the nearest dealer for service or repair.
